On April 21-23, 2020, PLN Corporate University hosted an on-line training of trainers (ToT) organized by USAID Indonesia Clean Energy Development II (ICED II) focused on evaluating proposed hydropower power projects. A total of 19 participants from various PLN offices participated in the virtual training.
The training provided useful reference documents and hands-on tools to use when reviewing and evaluating hydropower projects’ feasibility study. In addition, the training also ensures transfer of ICED II and PLN knowledge as PLN trainers co-delivered the sessions.
USAID ICED II developed guidelines designed to assist staff of PLN in reviewing feasibility studies of various renewable energy power project types as proposed by independent power producers. To roll out the guidelines and to promote adoption of the guidelines by PLN staff, USAID ICED II and PLN Corporate University are holding a series of ToT workshops. The first training in the series was held on February 24-25, 2020 with a focus on evaluating bioenergy power projects.
